Couples therapy is for every couple interested in investing in a better relationship. A common misunderstanding is that going to see a couples therapist is a sign of failure. The opposite may in fact be true. Statistics show that most relationships fail if left to their own devices. 40-50% of married couples divorce, and of the remaining 50-60% many live unhappy lives. Seeing a couples therapist is therefore about being proactive so that the odds of succeeding are increased. All couples can benefit from learning more about how they communicate, how they make each other feel special, how they resolve inevitable value conflicts, and how they can avoid the common pitfalls that end up destroying most relationships.
